Nadia is a 20 year old adrenalin junkie based out of Whistler BC. Born and raised in Campbell River, she spent weekends skiing at Blackcomb chasing her dad down doubleblacks at 6, and turning as little as possible. The move to Whistler came a few years later to pursue her ski racing career. At 18 she was invited to camps with the newly formed Canadian Ski-Cross Team. She has been competing in Skier Cross ever since, and along the way her room-mates convinced her to start entering Big Mountain Freeskiing competitions while on the road. She has been doing quite well in both, with multiple podium finishes over her first 2 years competing, especially as a relative newcomer to the scene.
At 18 she became the 2nd woman to hit Whistler’s legendary “Air Jordan”, a 20 to 45ft double stage cliff off of the Peak Chair, after learning that her room-mates had all hit it while she was on the road. Last year alone she logged 55,000km driving solo with her truck , dog and sled, going to competitions all over North America.
Along with Extreme Skiing, and Ski-Cross Nadia also discovered a love for Snowmobiling. Whistler has some of the most vast, steep terrain for riding in North America. She has since discovered that anything you can ski off, you can probably jump a sled off. The thrill of sending a 500lb, 800cc 2 stroke machine off cliffs, lips, cornices and booters has her hooked. In the off season, Nadia enjoys Downhill Biking, Hockey, Cross-Fit, Boxing and playing with her dog.
When not on the road competing, shooting photos or simply braaaaping around Nadia works as a Door-man at the infamous night club in Whistler, “Tommy Africa’s” and also works construction.
